2. The brittleness of tungsten steel is very high, and is independent of temperature. At normal temperature, the impact toughness of quenched steel is greater than 1-2 times of that of tungsten steel. Therefore, impact compaction of tungsten steel is not allowed when inserts are welded. Do not allow them to collide or be impacted during transportation.

3. It is important to know the linear expansion coefficient of tungsten steel. The linear expansion coefficient of tungsten steel is more than twice that of high speed steel. In the welding of tungsten steel and high speed steel, due to the difference in linear expansion coefficient of tungsten steel and high speed steel, the inner and outer layers of stress are different when the mold is cooled, and the inward tensile stress is formed on the surface. After insert welding, measures should be taken to relieve the stress, otherwise the tungsten steel will crack or unweld.
